Where is water Isolation applied?

Water Isolation is applied on points where water may penetrate in buildings. These are; walls in contact with the ground, foundations and floors based on ground, exterior walls outside the structure below the level where water may penetrate, balconies, terraces and sloping roofs and wet areas such as baths, wash basin, WC. Another application area of water Isolation is structures such as artificial ponds, water tank and pools where we want water to remain inside.

How is water Isolation applied?

Water Isolation is applied by application of waterproof material to basic structures like foundation and roof where water may permeate. In applications; polymer bitumen sheeting, synthetic blankets and Isolation materials are used. The water that cannot penetrate the building with Isolation applications is removed from the building through filters and storm water drainage (evacuation) and pipes.
